Heart-Healthy Breakfast

Dr. Tariq Haddad is frequently sharing heart-healthy tips with his patients that he also incorporates into his own life. Below is a smoothie recipe that he recommends to his patients. In honor of February's Heart Month, we wanted to share it with you! 

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
    • Dr. Haddad prefers Garden of Life raw organic plant protein powder with 22g of plant protein and 0g sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen berries
  • 2-3 cups smoothie greens (baby kale or baby spinach)
  • 1 cup of ice
  • 1/4 of an avocado (optional)

Directions:


Blend it all together and enjoy!
