Joseph M. Krepp, M.D. specializes in general cardiology and structural heart disease and is board certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiovascular computed tomography. Following his cardiology fellowship at Medstar - Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University, he completed a secondary fellowship in Advanced Echocardiography at Columbia University – New York Presbyterian. He has a special interest and expertise in the application of cardiovascular imaging to diagnose cardiac conditions, particularly valvular heart disease.
Dr. Krepp comes to Virginia Heart from The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC, where he spent 4 years. During his tenure, he served as the Director of Interventional Echocardiology for the structural heart disease program and was the Associate Director of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program.
Today, his goal is to help patients improve the quality of their lives through new and exciting treatment options.
Dr. Krepp enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, exercising and cooking. As a native New Yorker, he is an avid fan of the Yankees and New York Giants.
