Mohammad Shirazi, MD, MBA, specializes in General Cardiology and is board-certified in echocardiography and internal medicine. He has a special interest in preventative cardiology, treating disease in disparate populations, and treating valvular heart disease and heart failure.
Dr. Shirazi graduated from George Washington University Cardiology Fellowship where he served as Chief Fellow. He also served as a Chief Resident in the Internal Medicine Program during his training where he completed the DC VA Chief Resident in Quality and Safety Program, intended to equip physician leaders with tools for quality improvement.
Dr. Shirazi became interested in Cardiology after his father experienced cardiac-related health problems. His interest peaked in medical school due to the pathophysiology of cardiovascular diseases. His goal is to connect with his patients so he can teach and guide them to health.
Dr. Shirazi enjoys spending his free time with his loving wife and five children. He enjoys exercising and playing football and basketball whenever he can.
