Anne M. Safko, MD, specializes in general cardiology, including women’s heart health. She is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the chief of cardiology for Northern Virginia Community Doctors Hospital. “The relationship between physician and patient should be one of trust, openness and good communication, but most importantly one that is based on mutual respect and recognition that every patient is unique,” she said.
Dr. Safko earned her medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, where she pursued her residency. She also completed her fellowship there in cardiovascular disease.
In her free time, Dr. Safko enjoys riding horses with the Middleburg Hunt, hiking and enjoying the beauty of Loudoun County.
